The Beginning III

One saturday morning my mother wake up me and Pookie early like about 3 am and we lef out 4 . She neva tell we where we did a go but the stop that we come off a di bus say Ewerton. A did so so bush and we did haffi walk through a likkle track fi get to di place. When we go dere we see people a wait and I ask mi mother is where she nuh ansa she jus mumble and say ''people badmine unno haffi get a right chew clearance''. Pookie go in first and then the man mek she go ina nex room and wait pan him, me and mi madda sidung outside and hear Pookie pan one piece a screaming, my mother say ''him good a good man she a clear''. A did my time fi talk to the man afta Pookie come out and the man talk to me and mi mother first and den tell mi man fi go outside. Di man tell mi dat a big corrupted man after mi but mi mus come back and him will mek sure him beat di game fi mi. I never know what him did a talk bout but all I know him give mi mother a indian head ring n tell har fi mek sure mi keep it pan mi ring finger at all times.


It was my madda time fi talk to the man, den him tell har fi meet him ina di same room whey him did mek Pookie did go ina, I neva hear any sound but mi mother come out a smile n say she feel lite.
